It has been referred to as a ‘swinging’ cloche. It measures a generous 48″×16″ (122cm x 40cm). That’s plenty of room for growing baby vegetables, herbs, peas, beans, strawberries and if you can’t bend then it’s handy for floral displays as well. More important, it is very conservative of water and slug-free.

Where does the cloche come in? – We sell as separate components (all very inexpensive):

1) A tubular bird protection net
2) A tubular fleece frost protector
3) The all-important tubular clear polythene cloche

If your support pole is long enough you can leave all three covers to one side of the hammock and pull them across as required. (Note the depth of all three covers is approx. 20" (50cm) which allows plenty of room for growth.

A simple way of setting up an easily managed vegetable plot – erect parallel bars, not quite as wide as the support rods and line up your veg hammocks, one after the other.

Small slits can be made 1"/2cm from the bottom of the hammock for drainage. If you are resourceful you can catch the water and recycle it.
